About The Blog

The Viking Math Blog is a Group Mathematics Blog started by a group of Portland State Mathematics Students and Alumni.

In addition to general mathematics, we are each interested in a variety of applied fields including (but not limited to): Biology, Neuroscience, Evolution, Ecology, Economics, Political-science, Philosophy, Computer Science, and Quantum Computation and Information Theory.

We plan on posting on all sorts of levels of mathematics (each writer has their own field of interest), from the research we are each engaged in, to the smallest (even trivial) mathematical novelties, wonders, and silliness.

And since this is a blog, after all, we reserve the right to post on whatever random subject catches our fancy in the moment.
