Using LaTeX on the blog…

Evidently, it is pretty easy to use \LaTeX on wordpress…

It is similar to adding inline equations in regular \LaTeX, just use:

$ latex your-latex-code-here$

And you end up with the symbols put into your post for you! As an example:

$ latex \cap_{i=1}^\infty (A_i^c : A_i \in \frak{A}) = (\cup \frak{A})^c$

will generate:

\cap_{i=1}^\infty (A_i^c : A_i \in \frak{A}) = (\cup \frak{A})^c

Nifty! Just be sure not to place any space between the initial ‘$’ and ‘latex’ when posting your own code… Notice especially that we can use code in the comments as well!

  1. Just a little test to see if we can use code in the comments as well:

    \cap_{i=1}^\infty (A_i^c : A_i \in \frak{A}) = (\cup \frak{A})^c

    So…

  2. I guess we can!
